Working with Clovis
Clovis is looking to build a partnership with our clients, not slam in a placement for a fee. We know these relationships are based on trust, open communication and finding you the right candidate for your position. Are you right for Clovis? We've created a business model that puts clients and candidates first, instead of the recruiting firm. We can help with permanent recruiting or staffing assignments. We specialize in staffing and recruiting for IT, Accounting & Finance and Recruitment Outsourcing.
Clients either want to retain us for a search or have us work on a contingent basis. We've also worked with clients on an exclusive "contained" basis where we get to prove ourselves for 60-90 days. Whatever works best for the client works best for us. We understand your goal- to find the best candidate in an efficient and cost-effective manner, and we work with you to achieve that goal.
Our clients like our efficient approach and how we bring them better, more on-spec candidates. Our consultative approach helps us become intimate with our clients and truly understand their needs. This intimacy helps us present only the best candidates to them. We also work very closely with our candidates to ensure that they are totally prepared when interviewing with our clients, which reduces the client workload.
Our unique consultative approach often leads to multiple searches for our clients. Once they see how well we perform, they often bring us more positions to fill. We look forward to having long-term relationships with great companies.
Conducting a Search
- Needs assessment - Working as a team with the client, we analyze the company's needs to determine the required set of skills, understand organizational relationships, define the required experience, and identify the other characteristics necessary for the successful candidate.
- Position Specification - After carefully assessing your needs, we typically prepare a written position specification that outlines the responsibilities of the position, qualifications required of the ideal candidate, and criteria for success. This specification guides our search efforts.
- Research - The specification is promptly shared with other Clovis consultants with relevant industry and functional expertise to pinpoint sources and prospects. Simultaneously, our research team accesses our computer database of individuals, corporations, and other sources.
- Candidate Identification - Professional staff members make selective calls to sources and prospects to identify and interest qualified individuals. During this period, the consultant reports progress frequently to the client.
- Candidate Interviews and evaluation - Our consultants interview likely prospects. We evaluate each on the basis of experience and potential cultural fit with the client organization. Each potential candidate is carefully screened during this process to ensure that only highest quality candidates are presented.
- Presentation of Candidates - Confidential written reports are typically submitted on four or five individuals who most closely fit the position specification.
- Candidate/Client Interviews - The consultant schedules a mutually convenient meeting between the client and each candidate. After each interview, the consultant contacts both the client and the candidate for feedback and to coordinate the next steps in the hiring process.
- Referencing of Successful Candidate - Once the Client selects the final candidate, Clovis contacts individuals who are capable of providing insights about the candidate's qualifications. This information is then reviewed with the client.
- Completion of the Search - As the search comes to a close, the consultant can assist in structuring of the compensation package if the client wishes. We also contact all those who have been helpful in the search, thanking them on behalf of the client. Once the successful candidate is in place, the Clovis consultant remains in contact with the client and candidate to ensure successful integration into the client team.
